Today was not a very adventerous day.  We woke and again both did not feel well, so we decided to
hangout mostly at the hotel today.  It was nice to finely try and sleep in, or at least sleep.  Josie woke up
at about 4:30 and then finely again about 6:30.  We had breakfast and went to the play room.  The
hotel has a play room that was donated be the Mattel Toy Corp., it is pretty cool.  It is a little run down,
but nice.  Robin and I say that it is a toy testing lab, for we see which toys Josie likes and dislikes.  One
interesting note, we received our White Swan Barbie.  Since the Mattel Co. donated all the toys, they
came out with their own Barbie for the hotel.  It is classic, she looks like Jenny from the block carrying a
Chinese baby.  However, I hear they are collectors items on Ebay.  Anyway we took her to the pool
today.  She was a little timid at first, than seemed to warm up to the idea.  We carried her in, but did not
get her head wet.  She looked cute as a button in her swim suit.  We did not take pictures out by the
pool because we heard that they were not allowed.  The reason is because the pool backs up to the US
Consulate and they fear spies.  Go figure.  Later in the afternoon we started to feel better and decided
to go shopping.  There are some very interesting little stores across from the hotel.  Robin bought
some dresses and squeaky shoes.  They are very cute and dirt cheap, just the way I like them.  I think
we are probably going to buy a suitcase full of the them to bring back.  Then last night we joined some
other families for dinner.  We went to a Thai restaurant.  It was very delicious.  Josie slept through most
of the dinner.  Afterwards, we took her back to the play room to wear her out.  It is amazing how much
she is blossoming.  She can roll over now and even tries to crawl.  Her personality is really starting to
shine.  She is becoming more aware of her surroundings and is discovering things new all the time.
Josie loves the helicopter rides she
gets.  She just giggles all the time.
This is the waterfall in the lobby of our
hotel.
Robin and Josie in the play room.
Robin and her are bonding like any
other mother and daughter.  Aren't
they beautiful together.
Josie loves to look at books, especially
the bright colored ones.  She can
already turn the pages.
In the background is the Pearl River.  It
looks fake I know, but I can assure you
it is real.  This is our view at breakfast
every morning.
Future gymnast I guess.  She giggles
when she grabs her toes.
July 20, 2005
Another uneventful night last night.  Josie got up I think three times to eat.  Only 5-10 mins, but man
they take a toll on your sleep.  Its OK its worth it.  It is another free day today, so we decided to just
hang out at the hotel again.  Almost same exact schedule as yesterday.  Except we were able to stay
in the pool longer.  We did venture out in a cab to the jade market today.  It was interesting, it was 5
floors of the same stuff, mostly jewels and stuff.  Then we had dinner at another Japanese place here
in the hotel, hibachi style.  It was awesome.  Then we went to the playroom again.  Josie can almost sit
up on her own and getting closer to crawling.   Our princess is really winning over our hearts.  She
seems to be learning so much with everything we do and say.  Robin swears that she can say "I Love
You," I call it more of a mumble, but whatever.  She seems to have bonded with us already.  It is as if
she has been with us forever.  Robin is really a great mom.  It is unbelievable how she just knows what
to do and how her heart is full of this little girls love.  I am totally blown away of how her motherly
instincts are so perfect.  I love to see the look and laughter on Robin's face when Josie mimics and
gives the love back.  I sometimes just watch and listen how they interact with one another, and if Im
lucky I catch it on film.
Josie loves to bell laugh all the time.
Josie and RachelClaire in the
playroom.  They are best friends
already.
Isn't she sweet.  I just want to eat her up!
Big Yawn.  Her stroller really wheres
her out.  She is a sweating machine.
